Transition or change?

After two months I think I'm still recovering from all the vertigo of taking off and landing... but I'm also still trying to figure out, How such a common and normal experience for others can mean such changing encouraging event for me?

(Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.)  This scripture is all I can answer to myself.

11 days that was all!! but it felt like It was my time. Time to “make it” in the world. Time to stand tall. Time to do things my way. Time to reinvent that soft-spoken small-town girl. but being back  ''home''  my heart quivers as I look back on the adventure that was more shocking/greater than what I had expected it to be, but yet was everything I needed.

There is an endless list of things I learned before / during / after this trip and yet by the end of my days I will still remember it, but there is one thing I sure started to learn once I found myself stuck in here, where for the moment there is no other place to run; the meaning of home!

Someone said to me ''we are never fully happy in one place because God put within us a longing for Him, a longing for heaven and to be by His side. Apart from that, nothing else will give us full peace and the contentment we are looking for''

Wise words from an old friend made me realized that home, is one place above the clouds where my heart will just adore and in the meantime even though, home can be a soft place to land or a tough mess in need of restoration. One thing that home never needs to be is empty.

What does home look like to you?...

Hospitality

For those who have asked me... ''So, what you think of the states?'' Here is my answer!

After Passion11 my  conception of the States was no more than the FT. Worth Convention Center and  Starbucks and Jake's and of course my hotel but once this nice guy (drove 6 hours from Jackson MS.) took me to Austin for a lil dinner with some friends from the DR and some of his... Then I started to observe scientifically
the American behavior.

PS. I had such an amazing time with all my Mack. friends and meeting with Jody's :) all this peolpe made me feel no more than at home. Especially a lovely lady call Ginger♥

I'm not sure but sometimes driving for 9 hours is not enough to catch up...

and it begins...

Scientific observation no.1:

According to my country when it comes to hospitality food should always be include.

Sad I didn't take pictures of all my meals but in my scientist summary; I love the States hospitality i mean Food!!  Apple dumplings more especially and ice cream soda and Momma Judy's coffee.

Scientific observation no.2 Community:

Dominicans are known for being very outgoing and warm personality so we think the Yankees are just very unpleasant just because we are waaay too salty... ???  lol

                                                                              ...absolutely no truth!!

I do not know if I was just the luckiest one but people was my favorite thing about this visit to the States!

Although there is a diversity of cultures in the world there is a particular one that is about  loving others, about sympathy, about hospitality, about caring and that is the one a found during this visit...  the culture of Christ!!

Scientific observation no.3:

When I landed in Miami from the DR after a 1:45 min flight (time literally flew out) my first view of the States was a bunch of buildings by the bay and all located in perfect algebraic order and then I heard  ''Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Miami please get ready to land''

Then I thought, this is just like Santo Domingo, but clean and tallest buildings!!!
I was wrong... being back in Dallas and with more time to go out and meet the big city I scientifically discovered that it is HUGE and therefore this affects the behavior of its inhabitants.

The size does influences!!

Coming from such a small country I found it a bit difficult to process how can someone  drive 45 min to go to work in a building of 25 floors, and then the same back to be caught in traffic for hours!?!?!?

At the end of my scientific observation I aptly conclude that:

I bet there are many people who are lost in this daily routine, but I praise God for all people who do that day after day and still mantine their priorities in the Lord and keep their eyes on heaven.

''Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.''Colossians 3:2

PS. I´ve realized that the world is pretty small ;)

Passport? Bible, Boarding pass? Jesus, Nationality?... Heavenly!

Me van a faltar palabras para expresar todas las cosas que Dios me mostro at Passion FT. Worth 2011.

All of our joys has a fundation except one... the one that has not fundation; the bottom one, this is where there are no more answers, where your happyness is estanded and is right there where you'll  find  two posibilities that define your happines... Making much of  you or making much of God.  who makes you happier God or your self?                                                                                                                                Jhon Piper.

Do you enjoy worshping God; making much of God because at the bottom He is commited to making much of you...?   That is IDOLATRY of the worst kind!

I had a BLAST and my hope and prayer is to put it all into action in order to remove making much of my self as my bottom and to make so much more of God.

/ Thanks to everyone who supported me with their prayers.

My Community Family.

Making much of God also means making much of others...

Ya aborde el avion... El viaje ha comenzado y segire firme hasta llegar a la meta, mi destino, mi casa el reyno de los cielos pero en el camino mi proposito es anunciar tu amor para tu gloria Dios!

/ I have boarded the plane, the journey has begun and will continue to sign up to the goal my destiny, my home, the kingdom of heaven but in the mean time my purpose is to announce your love.

for your renown God!
